Gamespot's live blog also dissented. But then it said sold. Then Kotaku, Joystiq, and the rest must have cited GS's blog since they only live-blogging gaming websites were IGN and Gamespot.

And then when the video came out, it agreed too.

The fact of the matter is that in this case, the end result was that IGN, GS's live blog, and I were right.

you sure are taking this stuff seriously for someone who.... pretends not to take these things seriously...

@Max King of the Wild/akaPooperScoorper (or whatever monthly troll account you decided to use this month) and your "vgchartz get thrown under a bus" comment

I like how you're pretending that the montly NDP results mirror Vgchartz exactly +/- 15%... and that in the past 4 months, PS3 fanboys haven't had multiple meltdowns... what was that syndrome called again??

Vgchartz is accurate, but they're not perfect and we don't expect them to get EVERY single game within 15%.

Oh, and forgot to mention that sales adjustments are done frequently on this site... but of course you should know that since you're a regular...

Your reasoning was still flawed, because if LBP sold less... you'd suddenly enjoy the game less.
And that has what to do with IGN saying 'playing'?

>_>

I'm not finding the relevance to the way that I perceive games, to what was said...
Simple.  The logical conclusion was that Gamespot found out it meant sold and reported it as such, hence changing their liveblog... since why else would you change it?

You chose to go with IGN because you wanted LBP to sell more so you would still enjoy it as much as you do.
Hmm... I think you give me too much credit.

I didn't think it could be perceived that way.

I have to agree with Kasz that his interpretation of what it would mean if Gamespot changed their blog is a lot more likely-sounding.

by Dissenters he means websites that said "played" instead of "sold" not people who disagreed with him (of which there were plenty)

I'm guessing you didn't follow the link.  Or pay attention to my post.

oh I thought Godot was the one who brought the video. My apologies, I should've checked before assuming I rememberred how the argument went.

...

No problem, no harm done. It just caught me by surprise, since I quoted Kasz and everything. At least I think I included that from the start. I didn't edit it in, did I?

No I believe you had it from the start, but I only skimmed because I thought I rememberred the point Godot brought to the argument. Again, my mistake.

Difference between saying something gets adjusted for accuracy frequently and saying something is off by 1million units. Yes 1 million units. I expect there to be more than 500k copies on shelves in christmas and numerous of people were saying these were shipped numbers like starcraft.

Also there is a diference between having evidence to support a side like GFK/NPD/Famitsu and just completely ignoring the facts, quoting out of context, and looking at one side like the most of you have been doing
