ok, for all i know motorstorm pacific rift is not suppose to be motorstorm 2, is like GTA vice city is a spin off, so if i ask if anyone knows about motorstorm 2, am asking about a motorstorm with a big 2 in the tittle like GTA 4.

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is Motorstorm 2 just like Call of Duty: World at War is Call of Duty 5.  They just didn't want to put the number after.

but CoD 4 says Call of Duty 4: modern warfare, i really thought that WaW as a spin!!!! i mean is the same engine, just like MS and MSPR they use the same engine. 0.o .... what a ripoff, lazy devs FTL

until "Motorstorm2" is officially announced, we will all assume Pacific Rift is MS2...

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is not a spin off, it is a sequel to the original. It took the premise of the first game and made it better, with better visuals, split screen, and additional vehicles. It is 100% times better than the tech demo that was the first game. How does using the same game engine have anything to do with the fact that it is a sequel or not. Gears 1 and 2 use the same engine, as do Resistance 1 and 2.

I'd rather they used the same engine, made a few modifications and made some awesome stuff instead of them making a new engine for each game and wasting their time with that.
