UN bombs Gaza Run School in Israel.

This isn't a joke...

yes it is, at least i hope so, the UN (United Nations) is there to protect civilians, israel is the one bombing them

What gets me is how Israel can continue to call Hamas terrorists. One look at Israel's policies and operations toward and in Gaza shows that they are the ones causing terror and slaughtering innocent civilians.

The world stands by, doing nothing.

thats exactly what im saying, Israel has acted in ways worse than hamas in this war, yet the UN cant act because the US vetos all UN treaties aimed at a ceasefire, as long as the US backs Israel the UN cant act, perhaps the US should have its right to veto removed?

As much as I am for not murdering children, I feel I must ask: has this sort of outrage been raised against the organizations (Hamas?) responsible for the hundreds of deaths Israel has sustained from suicide and car bombers and rocket strikes?
I'm not saying this justifies bombing a school, but I am curious as to why Israel is being so scrutinized for any negative effects of this campaign, effects which it has enduring for years now.

what the girl says at 3:20 the simple truth

In NO imaginable context is killing innocent children justifiable , i don't care if their parents made Hitler look soft , life is something we're all entitled to.

of course that has been pointed out, why do you think hamas are hated around the world, the problem is Israel continues to enter gaza and when they do the palestinians want to defend themselves and so they turn to hamas, to break that cycle Israel must recognize a Palestinian state and Hamas must disarm

I agree, why the U.S has veto power in the first place I don't know, for time after time it has blocked treaties that are in the interest of the world and the people living in it but not in the interest of themselves. Such a selfish and irresponsible country should not be allowed so much power.

Brilliant idea. We all know how the French, Germans, and Russians haven't used their veto power to block important UN intervention in the past, either...

*rolls eyes*

The UN and its veto system cripples the entity from ever accomplishing anything, really. Singling out the US in this one instance is short-sighted, lacks historical context, and frankly, is pretty stupid.

the US should have its power to veto removed, all UN members should, all it does is allow bad things to go unchecked, the US has way to much power and uses it poorly

Then why has Israel been the one left to defend itself?  From what I've been seeing (perhaps inaccurately), a good bit of the U.N. nations are calling on Israel to stop this.  Have they done the same with the Hamas?  If so, it obviously hasn't done anything, and one would think a sdifferent tactic would be employed, considering the amount of outrage this particualr issue has raised.

And what good would Israel's recognition of Palestine do?  Doesn't the Hamas want to wipe out Israel?
