Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How do you leave Wii when you don't play it?

Well as the title says, how do you leave it? Yellow light, red, unplug?

I left it yellow one night (didn't want to) and it got pretty warm and I sure don't like that.

I usually unplug it, but I noticed only few people actually do that. Is that bad or something maybe?

you should check out the things talking about the power usage of the three systems.

yea i notice the Wii is somewhat warm as well at all times but nothing you should worry about. It won't break on ya, make loud noises, waste energy or nothing really

Mine's on standby, just in case I get that update. ;)

As good as unplugged, since I turn off the stepdown adapter (Japanese Wii).

Yellow cause Iam mellow like that

Red light = Completly off.

I dont want/need any kind of update from Nintendo.

Completely off. Save your power and lessen your electric bill.......

This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*

I have had my Wii since launch. I lined up at 6:00am to be sure to get one.

I have had it on "yellow light" (Connect 24) for the whole time (over 2 years now!) without any problems.

It is always warm, but never hot.

In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.
