I will be honest....after the Times article I feel there is a 70% chance of the Playstation 3 being dumped & maybe event he PS Brand sold as a whole.

BTW my new avatar is of my doggie who's called Jerry!

To tell you honest truth, nothing really. The PS3 really didn't interest me, mainly cause of an extreme cause of lack of backwards compatibility.

simply.... I will keep playing my PS3

1. Shock

2. Disapointment and hope that a company like Microsoft can spend their money to help ease the transition -> Take your PS3 into gamestop and recieve an Xbox 360 Arcade for free + ports of all your games on the Xbox 360 for a small quantity of $$$

3. No lasting impact, the industry will take the shock and move on... People hardly remember Sega as a console manufacturer now so 5 years later people will hardly remember Sony as one either.

Trust me, PS3 aint goin nowhere....they are nearing or are at break even point.

If it was discontinued (which it wont be) I would be like "FFS"
I'd then probably fork out alot of cash for a gaming PC as I feel it would most suit my needs. Id still play my PS3 though

I wouldn't be happy. This market's oligopolistic enough without somebody dropping out of the hardware race. Nintendo wouldn't have made awesome stuff like the Wii or the DS if they didn't have Sony looming over them.
