I don't think that gaming division is in trouble. The PSP and PS2 make money and the PS3 will be profitable soon. If we're looking in the future, it's a possibility that the ps4 won't be as "complicated" as the ps3 were a few years ago, so they'll be fine.

But they could close the vaio and sony-ericsonn divisions.

At CES after SONY announced so many new things I highly doubt they are closing their major divisions

i hope they dont close the play station division. im a xbox fanboy, but more competition is good for everybody.it will keep microsoft on there toes and always going for exclusives.it will also ensure the quality of games on all systems(because i for see that if ms or sony go out of business then the last 2 will go for the large casual game market). in fact i believe that we need at least a 4th console on the market, and hope that the last thing they do is get rid of the playstation brand. also i feel really sorry for all the people that see this as a good thing. and 1 last thing is i feel really bad for all the employees that are losing there job

this can very well be locked now. Sony restructured everything. Game Division was merged with like 4 or 5 others into a division similar to Microsoft's.

I know all companies are struggling, but Sony seems to be hurting more than most.

Sony needs more games out more quickly, even if they are shovelware.
