Well X360 boosted it's sales this christmas and pre-christmas period due to excelent line-up, free LIVE in some bundles and a price cut. PS3 was outselling it all year since that happenend.

So From now on, the PS3 will for shure have a price cut and I bet that Killzone2 will boost it like MGS4 did. The question, with a gap now counting 8 Million from Microsoft machine, will it be on time to overtake 360 and gain the second place?

I personally think not, it would end up the generation really close, but not surpass.

the people who want killzone own a ps3 now mgs was the first big game so i dont see a similar boost for killzone

KZ2 will not give PS3 sales a boost akin to the one that MGS4 gave. To say otherwise is crazytalk.

I think the PS3 still has a chance for 2nd. It just won't happen anytime soon.

The 360 has its lead as a buffer, even is sony starts outselling them microsoft will literally have years to stage a comeback. The 360 outselling the ps3 is far more damaging to the ps3's chances of ending up second then the ps3 outselling the 360 is. With that said I believe the 360 will finish ahead of the ps3 and if the ps3 does actually finish ahead it will be so late in the console cycle that it doesn't even matter as everyone will have launched other consoles anyway.

Depends on how it will sell at 299$/€.

And i hope you meant in terms of SALES?
Because in terms of GAMES it was already N1 in 2008, and will be continue being N1 in next 5-7 years atleast. =)
