Forums - General Discussion - People Use PS3's Web-Browser more then the Wii's

I use my PS3 Web Browser, and my Wii's when I'm bored, or to lazy to make my way to my PC, and looking at the Web on a 61" is nice.. lol

I use my PS3's more Rather then the Wii's I must say.

Some People Use The PS3 For Web Browsing, Less People Use The Wii

Business Research firm Market Share have released statistics outlining global internet browser share. Internet Explorer and Firefox are obviously the two largest, but what about the PlayStation consoles and Wii?

Surprisingly, enough "PlayStation" owners (guess they're counting both the PS3 and PSP) use their system's browsers to make a dent in the global rankings, with a whopping 0.04% of the world's internet traffic hitting Sony consoles. Sounds minuscule - and relatively, next to IE, it is - but that's still a large number considering the size of the PS3 and PSP install bases compared to office computers.

As for the Wii, it doesn't show in the publicly-released rankings, though Edge say it finished the year with a 0.01% market share.

Ya... but.. the install base alone of the Wii... you know they sold plenty of those browsers..

Also not real sure if the PsP Browser is added to the numbers..

I think I used my PsP Browser maybe 2 times if that.

Also the Wii Broswer is very cheap.

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

WHAT! You have to buy the browser on the Wii! That's horseshit!

Counter to that though I guess is that you have to buy the HDMI or component cables on the PS3.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Which is why I am happy I got the Wii browser before it was a 5 dollar purchase, I probably wouldn't get it otherwise because I have a computer

Me too. It was handy for a few weeks when my laptop was being fixed. But, since it took up so many blocks, I deleted it straight afterwards. I hope I never have to re-download it...........*knocks on wood*

This.

I can't stand using the Wii's browser. I don't really see any point anyways when I can just use my computer. I feel less efficient when using the Wii's browser basically.
