I haven't spent any of the money I got for Christmas and my break is going to be over before I know it, so Im going to get some games.

Dead Space:

Pros - Heard great things about it, loved the demo

Cons - Single player only (really cuts down on the replay value)

SOCOM:

Pros - Cheap ($40), absolutely loved SOCOM 2 and 3 back in the day, tons of replay value

Cons - No trophies (Yes, this is a negative in my eyes), I'm already playing Resistance 2 so I don't know how I feel about another shooter, server issues? (I heard there it was terrible at launch, is it fixed now?)

Your thoughts?

If you need the headset, I'd go for Socom. The headset rocks, and it's $60 for the game and the headset.

If not, I'd go with Dead Space, especially if you really like Survival Horror.

Get SOCOM if you need a headset. Otherwise, Dead Space. EA needs the support.

Not too sure as i have not had the chance to play Socom yet as it is not released here in the UK yet (as far as i am aware) but Dead Space is a pretty good game. Maybe it would be wise to invest in some other game genres (such as adventure in the form of Uncharted and platform in the form of Ratchet and Clank) as you would likely be able to afford both of them for the same price as one of the newer games

Dead Space, and it does have replay value. You won't get everything upgraded the first or even second time through

Socom:confrontation i adore.

I love that game and play it a lot.

I haven't played Socom, so I'm a bit biased when I say Deadspace. But deadspace is a really frikkin awesome action/horror game.

Dead Space is an amazing game. I truly enjoyed it from beginning to end. I haven't played SOCOM in all honesty, but this post is just to let you know you can't go wrong with Dead Space.
