Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

He requested you name game developers  eg. CAPCOM, Activision, Square Enix, etc. Not Games which you listed.

BTW: Crazzyman you listed  a few crappy games on your lists. The Club, Dark Sector, Kane and Lynch, Army of Two, Eternal sonata, etc lol.

Like badgenome said, there is a huge difference between devs and games. Most of those games are made by devs that support the wii. A great many others (like Valve) would like to support the wii but have not found the proper project yet. None of the titles you mentioned is being made by a dev who outright refuses to publish for any console (ssorta like epic refusing to develop for the wii.) I will also not go list a tally of games now made for the wii that would shame your list... I'll just drag Rubang to this thread who probably has it hot-linked.

I also thought that this was about the PS3.

And no, the PS3 does not have a good mix of games. If it did, I'd be lining up to buy one. Also the fact that I don't see the "mainstream" (as far as gaming has not gone mainstream already) lining up to get one I deduce that yes, the PS2's mix was better then the PS3s.

On PC's and PS3's power... well, if it comes to raw power then all I have to do is find a PC that can handle PS3 games... and perhaps more.

I don`t see.

GTA 4 - multiplatform game, multiplatform games don`t push sales by a LOT, like MGS4 did. Like KZ2 will, Like FFXIII will, like GT5 will and etc.
