You just predicited a 140 million unit life time sales for PS3. That is not a sane prediction. Given all of the data that is currently available combined, with what we know from past generations, your assertations are borderline  impossible. Basing the probability of your prediction on the analytical ability of the same "educated" market expert analyst that have missed badly with their sales projections for all three consoles is another illogical basis for your predictions. These analysts were completely off the mark on the DS. Nintendo went with a similar strategy with the Wii. In all their infinite wisdom, your "expert" analyst still failed to make more accurate predictions. So I think you should take your own advice and not wander into the subject of intelligence quotient.

lot of ps3 & crazzyman bashing lately i'm also surprized on how many think it won't get passed 60-70mill before it's of the market

i don't think it will reach 100 mill by the end of 2012 sorry sony guys it is also to early to make this kind of prediction

we will have see wat kind of impact games like K2, GT5, GOW, FF will have on hw sales but going by sw sales of lbp and R2 it doesn't look like much also we will have 2 c wat a 300$ sku will do to ps3 sales once all this data is present then we can get a good idea of wat to expect

as 4 wen it will reach 100 mill it will be a tough task going by wat the ps3 has shown me now but if it ever will reach that my guess would 2015 or later wen the ps3 well be 199 or cheaper then it will b almost common sense to buy 1 as bluray will b mainstream so u'll be getting a bluray player and a pretty good game console for a cheap price

if it lasts 10 years then it will reach 100 million eventually. as price goes down sales ainy going to go down are they and sony aint going to stop supporting it any time soon. i think it will reach 100 million near the end of its life cycle.

It won't last 10 years, also PS3 reaching 100 million would mean that the gaming industry has expanded to more than half a billion consoles sold this generation

CrazzyMan predicts that the PS3 will average sales of 20 million units for the next 4 years.

For comparison: The Wii is currently selling at roughly 20 million units a year.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will average sales of 15 million units for the next 8 years.

For comparison: The PS2 sold at about 16 million units a year during its generation.

Crazzyman, divide your numbers by 2 and I think you'll be on to something.
