80Gb PS3 @ $250 sounds reasonable to me. 80Gb PS3 @ $400 is ridiculously over priced for what it is considering it is a stripped down PS3 which can not play PS2 games.

@OP, this is the right time to be getting a PS3, 09 is gonna be great, just as 08 was for Sony owners.

In my personal opinion, PSN trophies are better than achievements, but if you have more friends on xbox, then I understand.

Its just that trophies have bronze, silver, gold and platinum. And you have trophy levels which level up as you get more trophies, and it shows you a % of how far you have progressed in each level until you rank up again. If you like achievements, the trophy system is much richer.

Try joining the VGC trophy league if you don't have any personal friends with PS3's for that added rivalry. Trust me, you will turn.

You know, after read this thread and this thread something occurred to me: people suddenly turned on Resistance: Fall of Man for some odd reason.

Up until a few months ago every PS3 lover ranted and raved about how great R:FoM was. If something like Gears or Halo was ever mentioned it was inevitable that someone would come and say something along the lines of yeah, but Resistance: Fall of Man is better in every way.

Now that Resistance 2 has been released, suddenly R:FoM is a game you should stay away from. Sorry for the off topic, I just thought it was an interesting observation.  It's like people suddenly realized how mediocre the game really is.

And I second you getting Uncharted.

Not everyone. R:FOM is an epic game imo. I prefer its SP over R2's one.
