Wow, cool dude. To bad he didn't just choose a better option. At least he stoped short of killing anyone.
I understand were he is coming from, because I had a very similar experiance gift wise this christmas. I was talking to a family member in their sixties, and they told me that those videogames are horrible. They claimed they wanted a Wii, and said that those consoles with that Grand Theft Auto game should be taken off the market, because they are causing the youth today to shoot eachother. Needless to say I was in a major disagreement, but I just politly said, "well I have played all the GTA games, along with plenty of other games similar to it, and I have not even thought of commiting an act of violance like what is possible in those games. In fact I think games have a long way to go before they reach the level of violence, and grotsque scence we see in movie, and some TV." After that we just continued on with the christmas party.
Then the time for presents comes around, and guess what that person got? Yep, a Nintendo Wii. In the back of my mind I was pissed, and really wanted to show them the Manhunt game so they knew the hypocrisy they were spewing, but I just kindly said, " I hope you enjoy your Wii."
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
