I dont think we played the same mario kart doubole dash... I actually think the sliding/boost system is the BEST out there, it has really tight controls and it lets you drive exactly how you want if you hve enough experience and skill... I even like it better than mario kart 64. In Double Dash I even mastered using bowser in time trial becuase it had the fastest cart, i wouldnt even slowdown once... thats why I say we didnt play the same game...

actually i'm with witeoutking here. I pushed so hard trying to convince myself that I didn't make a wrong purchase with MK:DD but compared to all others it is simply weird. I just couldn't feel the challenge in it and all that tagging was plain annoying aand some of those sounds were just overdone IMO. DS was good fun. I still think MK64 is the pinnacle of multiplayer gaming. Hope for more of the same with this.

I disliked DD strongly when I first got it... and several months later, was sure that it was the best MK done to date. I think most of my housemates agreed :)

The DS version is my fave Mario Kart by far. Best controls from any of the MKs and some of the best track design i've seen in years. Waluigi Pinball/Delfino Plaza/Bowser Castle.. so many good tracks! Plus... it was online. Endless replayability.

Misleading in the sense that, although everyone is entitled to their opinion, I think the controls are tight, every major review I've read about the game feels that the controls are tight and I have never heard anyone claim that the controls in DD are sloppy. For example you may believe that "Dude Where's My Car" was a great movie, you have the right to believe it and express your feelings. But I also think someone should point out that the movie was universally reviled. If "Dude Where's My Car is a great movie" is the only dominant point, it is misleading to someone who has never heard of the movie before. It is misleading in that you're probably aware that nearly everyone feels that the controls in DD were tight, thus you should indicate where your opinion stands: a unique voice on the matter.
