Couldn't really believe/guess what Others Peoples doing with their PSP?

I mean attach ratios of ~1? That's really damn low although ISO's do really hurt the sales afterall...

probably this:

Hey, lady! That's not what that thing's for!

Are you sure ?

Come on, that's quite different. A PSP is just stupid, but I can see how the Atari lady got confused by the shape. We've all been there, right?

...Right?

PSP software sales tracking is very incomplete .

One example is that after Sony France numbers the PSp has sold some 8 million games in France alone ....yet we have for the whole Others less than those 8 million .

indeed

Oh Oh, Understood!

Haha overrasket at du er på Vgchartz.

Nintendo & Sony supporter:

 Consoles: Wii & PS3.

Huge Xmas for Nintendo - they will be happy as Larry. 17 of the top #20 titles for Wii/DS platforms - and legacy games still selling through the roof. Animal Crossing Wii almost at 1m, Mario Kart Wii breaks 2m, etc.

'Big' titles on the PSP are the only thing stopping complete Nintendo Japan domination at the moment. PSP sold 120k, Wii 160k, DS 280k. PS3 under 50k for Xmas, and a huge software debut. 360 has lost almost all momentum, sales are pretty poor - no software in the charts (where it really matters).

To date, WiiMusic has outsold every PS3 game this year - except for MGS4 & GT Prologue (and its getting close to that).

In fact, only one PS3 game has sold more than 500k lifetime in Japan (MGS4) - and only 6 have broken 300k. Still, Sony will be hoping the PSP can show the way forward for its bigger brother.

EDIT - Happy New Year everyone, from Australia :)

This is how I see this important week with holiday sales in Japan:

Microsoft: Postive nothing
Negative, they haven´t been able to keep the momentum going they had this autumn. They haven´t seen hardware boosts during the holidaysales and software is horrible.

Not really. Have you even seen Microsoft's Japanese hardware sales for the past few years?

After everything is said and done, Microsoft had the best year since they launched the Xbox 1 (which sold 175,000 of it's 330,000 units in a matter of 3 weeks). They managed to sell 100% more hardware units in November/December 08 than Nov/Dec 07....And that doesn't include the insane numbers they posted in August through October.

Microsoft has kept their momentum - Since the price drop, they have averaged over 11,600 units per week. That's better than any other year, as 2007's average was 6,250 units, and 2006 was 7,616 units. That's a massive increase, no? Microsoft had no major December game, unlike the past 2 years with Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey - yet it sold better on every given week in December without an uber-title (heck, Fable + Fallout together beat Lost Odyssey's launch).

Microsoft isn't doing as well as it's rivals in Japan. That much is un-arguable. But they are beating the odds, and improving their marketshare, and their chances of becoming viable with their 3rd console. I was laughed at when I said the X360 would sell 1.5-2.0m hardware units in Japan in it's lifetime, but it's now a nearly-accepted fact it'll do that. I think it's a great improvement for Microsoft to have gained so much momentum in Japan. For comparison, neither the Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii sold anywhere near what they did after September last year - Both consoles are down.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Damn at Wii. Still going hard with great game sales! WKC did good. Ps3 hardware is just terrible. I hoped the Ps3 could've at least broke 70k. But, at least it sold something compared to the 360.

Wii hardware is fucking great. But, compared to last year, which makes it look fucking sorry, it's not as great. DS is selling huge! Psp great. Though I never expected the Wii to beat this holiday season, it did however. Ps2 still livin life till the doggone end! The true klng..Ps2.

Damn things have changed since 2009 began. Here are my new visions for the end of the generation.

Wii: 135 mil

Ps3: 85 mil

360: 60 mil

True Genius

ps3 sales are very good because they are almost the same as last years but last year there was a price cut!

That's AWFUL for Phantasy Star Zero, Phantasy Star Portable sold 340,000 in its first week, and it didn't even have Online Infrastructure.

Good second week for Dissidia, it's trending a bit better than Crisis Core, which is a surprise since it's a fighter.

Not bad for White Knight either, too bad it didn't really drive hardware sales.

Nope, Galaxy sold 999,999 copies, maybe next week though.

Bet - "PES 2009 (PS3) will sell (closer to) 150k first week in Japan" - Pooperscopper
"It will sell closer to 125k" - Me I agree.
ME = OWNED :(

End of '09 Predictions:

Wii: 78 million
X360: 35 million
PS3: 27 million
