Forums - General Discussion - Too soon for a Incredible Hulk reboot?

I was surprised when I found out that they're making a new The Incredible Hulk movie that has nothing to do with the previous one but I kind of wonder if they've let enough time pass from the previous one?  I'm pretty hyped about the movie because of how the Batman reboot turned out but it had a few extra years compared to this reboot.  My biggest complaint about the previous Hulk movie was the CGI which simply didn't come close to appearing real, and the poor storyline.  Consider how far CGI has come (simply looking at Spider-Man 2 and 3 for example) hopefully they have it far more real looking in this version.

Anyways I'm really curious about other people's opinions on it :)

Around the Network

I hated the Hulk movie that came out a couple years ago. Really crappy acting/story/cinematics... The ending was also dumb. Oh Haha you're in a jungle in south america. SO FREAKING FUNNY, THE HULK!

Yup, I can only hope for Spiderman 3 effects. Now all they need is a 450 million dollar budget, and they'll be set.

P.S. It will suck and it will fail miserably.

I'm probably one of the few who actually really enjoyed the 2003 version.

The new ones casting isn't bad, but Louis Leterrier is a less than impressive director. His resume includes the transport series and well, alien resurrection. Though Norton has proven an ability to create fairly psychologically deep characters, I have my doubts that the direction will truly focus on this. If Ang Lee, a director whose focus on character has defined much of his career can't pull it off to the satisfaction of most fans, I have doubts that the transporter guy will either.
