I don't get how people can spend money on virtual clothes. The economy can't be that bad as long as people spend money for such things.

But why are people complaining about live costing $3 / month when they spend the same for nothing?

How is the 1.50$ I spent on virtual clothes that will last forever comparable to 3$/month for live?

wow lol people are really spending money on these fake little clothes?

Of course, much of this could be a short-term financial boost rather than a long-term funding source.

People will want to decorate their space or themselves early on ... but as time moves forward, the desire to spend real money on pretend things will probably decrease.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I bought 10 T-shirts for $10 on a clearance sale.

Confirmed virtual clothes more expensive than real life clothes.

Who is Mike from Morgantown? You?

I can understand little kids and possibly young teens wanting to buy virtual items for a virtual character, but adults?

How empty is their life?

Oh I do enjoy spending my money however I see fit. Is it a waste? Absolutely. Could it have served Africans better? Yes. But is it comparable to what that guy was alluding to no, since I am free to spend it or not, unlike live (which is nearly compulsory for people who want to play online when they want)
