Forums - Sony Discussion - My friend sold his ps3

leo-j said:

My friend loves his console, the playstation 3. He thought it was the best console he has ever owned, and a very good system(he also has a 360 for comparison), now he sold it.

Guess why he sold it?

Because of its sales, he keeps hearing on TV, and on the internet that the ps3 is a terrible system, its not getting games, its selling terribly, its a sinking ship, etc...

Because of all of that, he sold his ps3, despite loving it to death. I think he is extreemly stupid for doing such a thing, and really it saddens me to know that somethng like this has happened, and turns out the media really is affecting the ps3..

Yeah it's rather retarded.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY

Hey the way its portrayed nearly makes it seem like Microsoft is pouring money into each of these media sites. I havent seen this degree of slander on a console before.

That reminds me, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank M$ for the payment.

In all seriousness...  The PS3 has strong and weak points Which the media is currently attacking for massive damage, that's why Sony has earned taken a lot of criticism.

Fixed.

doublefixed.

No in all seriousness though.. It has no weakpoints... It's not a giant crab afterall.

Check out my game about moles ^

He might get one again when sales come up

So the opposite is also true...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

If I had a ps3, I would sell it too. The chances of its survival are less each day and developers must be scared to work on any ps3 projects after just one big budget flop meant the end of free radical and factor 5.

Haha, that's what I call insecure.

But many Sony fans were made from insecurity. Sony made the first "cool" console, and you know how important it is to be both cool and popular. You know all about it.

poor thing

PLAYSTATION®3

MS paid him

I'd understand why he wouldnt buy the system, especially due to the price point. But given that he already bought the system, why sell it just before the year of many great games??? What an idiot!!! And this comes from an Xbox fan!

Next Gen Consoles Impressions and Estimates

The only reason why i would sell mine would be a release of BC PS4 :D And that also holds true for any other system.

I think is a reasonable choice.

1. He already has a 360, so he still can play A LOT of HD games since both consoles share them. He will only miss a few exclusives.
2. His other friends also have a 360, so he can play more games with them since he does not have to spend money in both consoles.
3. He thinks the multiplataform games will be better in the 360 because of the small sales of the PS3 compared to 360 the developers will start production in the 360, then make a port for the PS3.

I personally would not sell mine. But I will not buy both the PS3 and the 360 in the first place.
