Steel Battalion Wii supports Wii Balance Board

In a Japanese press conference, Capcom hasconfirmed that it is adapting the Xbox's Steel Battalion for the Nintendo Wii, and that it will include support for the Wii Balance Board.

In Steel Battalion, players take control of massive bi-pedal mecha on a variety of dangerous missions. The original game came with a huge, $200 USD controller that acted as the dashboard for the robot, and quickly became a collector's piece.

Capcom explains that with the Wii Remote, Nunchucks, and Wii Balance Board, this whole experience can be re-created... and for a whole lot less wonga - around $40 USD.

Is this real? If so, cool.

I want them to re-release the dashboard they have. I'd buy a few of them and wait for them to be scarce again =D

By life end:

  • Wii- 100 million+
  • Xbox360- 35~40 million
  • PS3- 30 million
  • PSP- 30~32 million ------------- FAILURE
  • NDS- 85~90 million (Skeptical)  - FAILURE
  • NDS- 100 million+ (Optimistic) -- Success!

PHUCK YES! I love mechas, and I always thought a mecha game would be PERFECT for the Wii.

Will buy!

If they keep up the gaming of Klonoa, MH 3, and this then my I might use my wii a little more then i thought. Doesn't mean i have to like it though lol.

Capcom truly is the King of Wii Ports.

We'll just pretend the Dead Rising port isn't happening.

But really, this is awesome.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I hope this is true! I really wanted to play that, but did not want to dish out 200 bucks for it
