Ppl say the Wii is for casual gamers cause!

1.Games are nice and have bright colors,as cartoon shows have bright colors..

2.Most games are mini games,since they dont have the attentionspan to finsih a 3 hour game let alone a 6 hour game,mini games are perfect for them,and people only use them with 2-3 other friends at there house on partys or when ever..

3.People who are not even gamers buy the Wii cause they think of it as a family game,think of it like this...

Hip Hop terms..

Gucci Mane = Hardcore thug gangsta rapper,who talks about merkin selling bricks and what not,not what you want your kids to be listing to.

Soulja Boy (Noitce the bright smiley face) = Family friendly rapper,never talks about fighting,killing or selling drugs,making danciing hits,while the people who listen to gangsta rappers say that he is gay and his music sucks..

It all really depends on your opinion...

When you start out an argument with the assumption that someone who buys the Wii is (somehow) less of a gamer it is doomed for failure ...

If you really want to understand "Gamers" on the whole, you should start looking at gamers along a series of spectrums which identify what is important to them. In general you will find that only a small portion of gamers identify with an element being very important or unimportant, and the vast majority of gamers see most things as being "Nice to have but not essential elements" ...

"True gamers" are buying the Wii, they just are made up of the majority of gamers who believe that advanced graphics are unimportant or a nice to have feature

If someone offered to give me either a Wii or A PS3 i would go with the PS3 but since I have a PS3 im looking into purchasing the Wii...(And I dont think 3rd Party developers are going to go all out and give their games to the Wii just because they might be afraid of the stiff competition that is Nintendo itself) but meh a true gamer would be interested in the Wii simply because its innovating and brings a new level of gaming...All you need in this world of sin is a Wii and a PS3 (or Xbox depends on your choice)

You should have signed up 2 years ago when this was popular. Your opinion piece then wouldn't seem so out of place and misguided.

I feel like im in the middle of a witch hunt now. Im no troll and whats with all the posts about Ban him about. Its only my point of view, what I mean about true gamer is a hardcore gamer. Its only my point of view after all. And as a fact we will be getting a Wii soon in the household.
