Super Mario RPG is not a Paper Mario game.

Neither is superstar saga or partners in time.

The Paper games have the paper look and the word Paper in the title...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Paper Mario rocks, playing it now for the first time. Its so good my partner started playing from the start.

Its an amazing game - considering its a N64 title. The gfx are fantastic (for the machine).

@ckmlb - once you  finish it, you must play Thousand Year Door. Its better in every respect (although also very derivative). Good reason TYD is my favourite game of the last generation...

I could not finish Super Paper Mario... it was too slow and incredibly boring. The humor would have been a lot better if it was spoken and emphasis and things could have been done to it... all of that text .

Ive played all of the Paper Mario games, and I think Thousand Year Door is by far the best. The partner mechanics were improved a lot, the characters were cooler, and it had the cool changing to paper system. You can probably find PM2 for the same price or a bit higher, so I think you should give it a try.

Expecting voice overs from Nintendo is asking for much.

Isn't Metroid Prime 3 the first big Nintendo game with full voice overs?

As far as Mario RPGs go:

Super Mario RPG (ingenious game) > Paper Mario > Thousand Year Door > Super Paper Mario > Mario and Luigi: Partners in Crime > Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga

All of those are amazing games though. The lowest score I would give any of them is an 8.5 for Superstar Saga. The Mario RPG games have all been surprisingly awesome.

When I first played Super Paper Mario I found it to be very boring and easy. After playing through the first chapter I gave up on it and it ended up sitting on my shelf for a couple months. After that, I decided to give it another shot and picked up where I left off, and to my surprise I really enjoyed it (although I can't see myself playing through it more than once).

And if you're enjoying paper mario so far I'd suggest getting PM:TTYD. It took what PM did and greatly improved on the graphics, battle system, and story.

In my opinion: TTYD > SPM > PM (even though it's still one of my favorite N64 games)

And even though SPM is my favorite game for the wii (that isn't a port), I'd still prefer the next PM game (if/when they make another) to be an RPG.

Wacka question: do you guys take as many Wacka Bumps as Wacka gives? or do you guys leave him alone.

the Wii is an epidemic.

The best game on the Wii so far.
