this is coming from a pro sony guy but here is my take. every single system deserves hate right now.

sony pushed up the price of consoles. u think that people arent afraid all consoles will become that expensive? Pr. sony promised the world and the world is only coming out piece by piece. the online isnt there yet and people expect a lot from sony. sony also had the chance to secure some games and was slow and couldn't secure that they were going make their system great (gta and assassin's creed come to mind).

ms was the first to show a price increase. 400 isnt bad but a price increase is a price increase, especially with the elite coming in with a crap 120 gig hdd for an extra 180. live should not cost money. they charge for pvp code, wtf? ms made an extremely defective product and pretty much wont say wen or if its fixed.

nintendo is way over charging for their system. its old tech and nintendo is making so much money on something that cant do much processing. promoting crap games, nintendo is basically supporting companies who make quick terrible budget games. letting companies who dont improve our industry in is a bad thing. their online is even worse than sony's.

plenty of hate to go around, but its just that ms's mistakes dont really change the industry for the worse. sony and nintendo might do that though.

I was PRO Sony before E3 06. Then when the Wii was shown, I was enticed. Then when Ken started off on all those famous rants about "Two jobs" "People will buy it no matter what the price" etc etc, I was REALLY turned off by Sony. Since ER 06, I've maybe bought 2 games for the PS2. I'm a firm supporter of whatever I choose to support. If I get pissed off by something, I _WILL_ boycott it/them. I've boycotting Sony until they get their act together and start realizing consumers will only take so much crap.

He was banned for quite a while, apparently it expired.

I don't hate the PS3, I just think there are better things I could do with $500.

A majority of PS2 owners paid $199 or less for the PS2.  I can understand why they're upset that Sony wants them to pay $499 or more for the PS3.
