Forums - Sony Discussion - Has the PSP made a profit yet?

It'd help if you knew what the hell you were talking about. The PSP-3000 absolutely has the best screen of the PSP models... the clarity is so much higher in fact, that it reveals the scanlines - which you only see because for some idiotic reason, almost all PSP games are interlaced.

Instead of just assuming I don't know anything, you could possibly be less insulting.  Yeah PSP-3000 would be "better" if the games were progressive scan instead of interlaced, but they aren't.  Thus a screen that makes that fact boldly visable is not a good screen for the games its going to display.  So the next screen should try and accomplish better clarity without revealing the scanlines, if thats not possible then i'll have to stick with my PSP-2000 till it dies.  I'm not impressed enough with the PSP-3000 screen that ill suffer scanlines and worse battery life.

Id rather see PSP get a bridge revision, PSP-4000. Sort of an in between PSP and PSP2. With some internal memory (like 2 gigs), better battery life, better screen (not the crap one on the PSP-3000), and a refocus on downloadable games.

Push hard to put all of the top selling PSP and old PSX games on the playstation store. Push publishers to bypass UMD altogether and put their games on the playstation store.

When the PSP2 comes out in a couple years (2-3), with 4 gigs internal memory and a memory card slot as the way to store games, it will be cheaper than PSP started out with and we wont have to deal with UMD.

considering the PSP-3000's is the best of the three PSP revisions I think your mistaken

PSP-3000 suffers from horizontal lines.  The better display clarity and contrast ratio can't make up for that.

and you realize that most $3000 HDTVs suffer from the same lines right?

Might want to change your arguement.

If the source is interlaced...

we have had thoughs already... they are psp 2000, and psp 3000.

sony take  a q from nintendo and actually make your revisions worth buying..

none of the newer models have anything thats segnificantly better than the last..

ds was fat and bulky/ugly

ds lite fixed that/it needed it.

dsi has onboard storage, it can conect online and download things/ mutimedia

psp good hardware

psp 2000/ made everything cheape/ it was made of pastic instead of the sturdy metal the first one was made off.

psp 3000 added what? a mic?( i give more credit to this because it actaully did something but whats it really for? skype?)

anyways i am not wasting my money on another psp 1 redesign.

if sony wants my money they better make a psp (2) and it better be good.(loads of cool fetures.)

hello how are you.
