According to VGChartz, the rest of the world only accounts for about 35% of XBox 360 console sales. Also Europeans and the Japanese often prefer other kinds of games.

Madden surely won't be a big hit in Europe and Japan.

Almost certain future PS3 million sellers I think are Final Fantasy XIII, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5.

Maybe Singstar, Ratchet and Clank Future, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Fifa Soccer, UT3, Haze, Heavenly Sword and Warhawk.

The problem with many early PS3 games was they were often already released for other platforms. To develop a PS3 game from ground up may take up to two years and mature PS3 dev kits weren't available until only a few months before launch. That's why many of the games only tap about 25% or less of the platform's performance.

That is sad the PS3 is struggling to get good games out. Not even good games per se, but games that resonate with the consumers. For goodness sake, Red Steel is a million seller on the wii. The Wii already has 7 million sellers not counting Wii Sports. And for sure has three more this year alone with Smash, MP3, and Mario Galaxy. I really thought Ninja Gaiden was going to hit a million but it might now. Sad.

This years PS3 million sellers:
UT3-easily i think massive franchise even though its consentrated on the PC it will sell on consoles too.
Haze-As long as Ubi does a nice job on it.
Assassains Creed-As long as Ubi doesnt screw this great looking game up.
R&CFuture-BIG audience its aimed at kids but adults can play it too.
Uncharted-Maybe if its as good as it seems if not it might sell about 800k and might break 1million eventually.
LAIR and Heavenly Sword-Rocky ground with these 2 LAIR could of but the EGM review might have put some people off and Heavenly Sword might attract the DevilMayCry and GodOfWar fans.

Next years PS3 million sellers:
MGS4-It's MGS.
LBP-Have you seen it massive audience.
GTAIV-It's GTA
Killzone2-People say its over hyped but so is Halo and that has sold loads of millions so anything could happen and the first one sold more than 1million.
FFXIII-IF it's released next year but it is a guaranteed millions seller.
GT5-Racing game massive audience.
Theres probably more just cant remember them.

Hum ,I forgot about Little Big Planet ,I will add that one to the list ,the japanese seem to be very interested in it and being successful in the three markets is important to get fast to the million seller mark .

So ,I would say for this year .

Singstar
Little Big Planet
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

And perhaps some core games as Ratchet and Clank ,Lair and Heavenly Sword can do it as well .

Oh my God, some of you people must be REALLY stuck on Sony if you're delusional enough to think something like LittleBigPlanet could easily hit 1 million. It's like the opposite of the PS3's current audience.

Hus - actually, the X360 had far far more software sales at this point in time than the PS3 did. As I stated, the X360 had 3 million sellers and anywhere from 4-6 games with 1m+ shipped games. This is in comparison to the PS3 only having 1 game guarenteed with 1m+ units sold and another with 1m shipped.

The X360 had a tier ratio of 5.0 in the US at this time last year, versus a 3.0 in the US for the PS3. Outside of the 2 PS3 million-shippers, I don't think there are many games within 250,000 units of hitting the 1m mark - whereas the X360 had atleast 6 games within 250k of the 1m mark. It's unlikely that the PS3 will have another 1m+ game outside of new releases, whereas the X360 had 6 games that were 1m sellers from the pre-August sales period.

Now, for IMO 1m sellers for the rest of the year for the PS3:

Assassains Creed: Should hit 1m by EOY, or atleast real close.
CoD4: Easily will hit 1m w/w, and will eventually hit 1m in the US alone.
Lair: Good chance due to that it should have good sales in all 3 areas (it only really needs about 425k in the US to have a good shot at hitting 1m w/w)
Uncharted: Will hit 1m worldwide. With only really Tomb Raider being another game in the true adventuring genre, this is a shoe in.

Games that won't hit 1m, but get close:
Heavenly Sword: As much as you might want to believe it will, it won't.
Haze: "
Unreal Tournament: It'll be heavily favored in the US, but little succuess outside of the USA.
Warhawk: Despite the bluetooth headset, I don't think it being full price really gives it an edge on the whole bundle business.


Now, if your talking 2m+ sellers, I don't think any from the list except for CoD4 will hit 2m+. MGS4, FFXIII, GT5 are all guarenteed 2m+ w/w. I think LBP, despite everyone's belief of an uber-hit, will wind up being the Viva Pianta of the Playstation 3.

you take one comment of a "fanboy" and project it onto ALL users of that console and even think you are right to do so ... I just don't get it.

So Claude if you think LBP wont sell 1million because IT'S "not hardcore" and the PS3 userbase IS "hardcore", MetroidPrime3 wont sell 1million because IT'S "hardcore" and the Wii userbase ISN'T "hardcore".
Dont say i am wrong i am using the same logic you are using.

Seriously I love various Mario games and likewise I am looking forward to R&C Future, it looks like an awesome game so far! I think you are generalizing a bit too much. IMO R&C and Mario are games for all ages.
