Killzone 2 DEFINITELY won't be the best selling game on PS3. Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII and GTA5will definitely outsell it.

MGS5, God of War III, and many other games have a chance of beating it.

If we narrow it down to 2009 only, I think only GT5 and God of War III will beat it in sales, because I don't think FFXIII will make it out in the West next year.

And not all games are dragged down significantly by later reviews.  MGS4 started off around a 93, and people said it would probably be AA when all was said and done.  It's now resting at a nice 94.  ;)

And then there's the rollercoaster taaht was LBP.  It started around at 100, dropped to 93, bumped up to 96, then settled around 95.

Call it sixty reviews then?  However long it takes to reach sixty reviews?

If you're willing, I'll wear a Killzone 2 avatar for a month if I lose, if you'd respond in kind with Fable 2 if you lose?

Parting with the Skull Kid would be tough...

I was originally thinking the loser could buy the winner a VC game of their choice, but then I remembered about the region restrictions.

How about a change of avatar for two weeks, and keeping a reminder that we lost in our sig for a month?

And besides, I really want Fable II (please announce it for PC ;_;), so the avatar thing wouldn't mean much outside of the loss of my precious Skill Kid.

All sounds fair.

So it's:

- Bet valid after 60 Killzone 2 reviews.

- Two weeks with an avatar of the opposing game for the loser.

- A one month reminder of the bet in the signature of the loser.

Hopefully Nintendo will abolish region restrictions and we can make future bets more interesting

BTW, I just bought Killzone.  Time to put my money where my mouth is and personally play through that crap game

I am going to buy a PS3 at the next substantial price cut, so how's this?  If Killzone 2 goes AAA I will personally buy it and add you to my PSN list to prove it!!!!

DON'T DO IT!  I tried replaying KZ a few months back, and it hasn't aged well, lol.

And agreed on all points, especially the very last line.  I'll hold a special place for you on my friends list. 

Shall we add the bet to our sigs now?

I wonder what happens if KZ2 doesn't make 60 reviews....

It only needs 14 more reviews for 60 reviews on metacritic, and gamespot hasn't done their review yet, so that's only 13 more reviews needed. I think it will get there once other sites do their reviews as well (e.g. palgn and probably more...).

Should stay at 90+ also.

I love Palgn.  They are easily the best Australian gaming site.

res2 has sold well and it will continue to sell well. no one expected it to be a massive seller like halo. i loved res2 looking forward to the third. it would be hard for any fps to top halo. i myself am not a fan of halo. but i think microsoft have done really well thanks to series. killzone2 will sell very well theres no dout in my mind

Apparently, it didn't...

Most of the predictions are in the realm of 700- 800k, which is about right.

Hey, I later raised that to 550k!

And I notice he says Resistance and Killzone have similar levels of hype. Killzone more than doubled Resistance's first week, but that's not god enough for him in other threads. xD
