Forums - Gaming Discussion - Wallets Celebrate as Another Big Title Gets Delayed to 08

I didn't even know it was originally scheduled for this year, I always assumed it was next year. Another great game to look forward to in 2008 :)  Very likely for the best considering it would have been lost in the flood of titles coming out this year anyways and it deserves some spotlight of it's own.

No they said that ports reduce quality, which I understand.  I was never really into the Splinter Cell series to begin with, especially with the direction it has taken.  Now Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed, there is a game that makes me drool.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I wonder if some of these delays are intentional in order to avoid this very crowded holiday software lineup.

I'd be surprised (and disappointed) if they did that... Besides, the holiday software lineup is already thinning pretty badly.

I'm suprised so many games are getting pushed back, escpecially Burnout (I think it would have sold gangbusters).

This Holiday Season (October/November/December) we can expect at least TEN MILLION Consoles to be sold and at least a couple games per console. There will be enough sales to go around :)

- Some pretty negative comments about the PS3 made by the devs. They state the fact that they are exclusive to the 360 allows them to do much more than if they were multiplatform, but they also state they doubt they would be able to achieve what they're doing with the game on the 360 on the ps3 even if it was ps3 exclusive.

Haha clever

No great surprise. Holiday '07 was looking ridiculous - way too many titles. Its great to see a good number pushed to next year. Didn't realise Burnout was one of them - guess EA didn't want it to interfere with their Xmas cash-cow - the NFS franchise.
