And there are some very good games not making my list this year!

AAA titles are titles that are given a review of 9.0 or higher. and AAAA is titles that get perfect 10. Didnt epic say they wanted to make Unreal a AAAA title O_o

Also heavenly sword is now considered a AAA title, so far the people at gametrailers find the game better than any ps3 game thus far including resistance and ninja gaiden.

too many games this year (and i only have a ds and ps3). might get a psp and wii soon. so many dam games.

i hate that out industry is bogged down by so many great titles, it's so terrible.

My console game budget is mega-tight, so I have to be selective :

1) Mario Galaxy (Wii)
2) Fire Emblem : Goddess of Dawn (Wii Strategy RPG)
3) Soul Nomad (PS2 Strategy RPG by Nippon Icchi)
4) Metroid Prime 3 (Wii)

If budget allows:

5) Soul Calibur Legends (Wii)
6) MySims (Wii)
7) One Piece Unlimited Adventure (Wii)

legends is most likely gona suck. as soon as i heard 1-1 movement on wii i laughed.

my sims? just get the sims on pc. itll prob still be way better on pc.

Personally I agree with this post, there are so many good games coming out for all systems that its amazing, whether it be the Wii (with its holy trinity), the 360 (Halo anyone?) or the PS3 (MGS and FF) the number of AAA games pouring out is simply amazing, and those are only the biggest of the AAA games that are coming. Also I think the handheld sector is at the strongest it has ever been - the competition of the PSP has really stimulated the DS as well.

The number of "A"s has absolutely nothing to do with the ratings it gets. A "AAA" title is a well-developed franchise that is expected to sell better than average games are expected to.

Super Mario Galaxy is a AAA title.
Grand Theft Auto IV is a AAA title.
Halo 3 is a AAA title.

The reviews do not affect this whatsoever.

Maybe the A is a bit confusing to some people. A nice other name foor a AAA game is a blockbuster-game, a term that only indicates that it's a highly anticipated title, which in most cases means that it will sell very good and will get good reviews.

I live in Europe, so my list is a little shorter than the average US-must have list:

-Super Paper Mario
-Metroid Prime 3
-The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Maybe:
-Zack & Wiki

Q1 2008:
-Super Mario Galaxy(there is still hope it will reach Europe in 2007, but I'm sceptical)
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl(same story as SMG, but no way this is going to be in my Wii before Feb 2008)
-Mario Kart Wii

2008:
-Newly announced Wii and DS games, and some titles I've missed during the holidays
-A 360 with Banjo-Kazooie(which allows me to play earlier 360 games as well)

I've been saving for all this for a long time, so I think I can buy it all =D

i plan on buying:

UT3
Uncharted
COD4 or Warhawk , whichever gets better reviews/catches on better
