Another stupid thing about the article is when he said this:

Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and Resistance 2 are all MUST HAVE TITLES.

If this guys track record proves he isn't a fanboy, then his Sony fanboy son must've got ahold of his blog password.

Seems to me that he was just making a point against those who say there are no games worth owning on ps3.

I won't consider Halo, Gears, Mario, MKWii and SSBB must-have titles, I must not be human. The definition of must-have titles is entirely subjective so the term really shouldn't be thrown around like it is.

I'm not saying Sony is doomed or anything of the sort. That would be ignorant. However, I am saying that some gamers have ever right to be bitter towards the company, and kick them while they are down. Turnabout is fair play, afterall. Sony has made some significant mistakes, at the cost of you and myself. That's why I don't defend them.

You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Also, it seems my earlier words have refocused the direction of this thread, as I assumed they would. Getting in on the ground of a thread like this makes your opinions more visible, and mine aren't forgiving of the big S.

Needless to say, that everything I said was right in at least some fashion. I didn't make anything up, and if you have issue with it, it's more than likely that you simply didn't understand what I was saying, rather than you disagreeing with me. Very little of what I've said in this thread is actually seriously debatable, to be honest, and I'd prefer not to waste my time arguing it with people who haven't though it through very well, beyond an initial knee jerk angry retort.

Of course, this only goes for one or two of you, but it needed saying.

I shall state my answer in my eyes as to why there apparently so much towards the PS3/Sony.
Well, for one, it's people like Leo-j... they just spew out bs (which is mostly/entirely their opinion) of how much better the PS3 is... Don't get me wrong, Nintendo and Microsoft have these kind of fanboys but Sony's seem to be the loudest (but by no means that's Sony's fault, just it's easily to be provoked).

Another one, Sony's arrogance: You can't deny that they were arrogant and cocky entering and still kind of are this generation. I'm kind of sad in one way of Sony's situation, but kind of glad because it knocked them off their way high horse (in terms of cockiness). Now don't get me wrong: the PS3 is an amazing console, so is the Wii, so is the 360, just I'm kind of glad that now Sony knows what it feels like to not be on top.

My 2 cents, and probably will add more if people respond n_n

I see lots of wii titles in your sig. Were you attentive during the nes and snes eras? If so, you'd know that nintendo invented arrogance in the gaming industry and thy got what came to them. It sony's turn this time.

Sony's fanboys may seem loud to you because they are not speaking your opinion. In my opinion, nintendo and M$ fans are much louder. Why do we percieve things differently? Just look at the thread, we mostly respond to those who's views differ from ours not the other way around.

Because I'm talking about this gen and not overall... I could have listed overall but that would require a lot of thinking >.>.  Yes, I did live through the NES/SNES era (and even Atari, but that's another story).  And I never denied Nintendo had arrogance (I don't know where you got that I said other wise), that's how they pretty much screwed them selves with the 3rd party developers for a while there.  But Nintendo has learned (hopefully, from the looks of things), and they have payed the price.  Now it's Sony's turn (like you said).

And as to your second point, I won't deny that fully, but I've seen a lot of threads like this one lately, and that is a fact.  Right now Sony fanboys are the loudest ones in my eyes, I don't see many threads about MS/Nintendo, just about Sony.

So you think most of those threads were created by sony fans? lol

Sigh. A wall of text written by an unknown blogger who obviously is a Sony fanboy.

Bingo. That article made my head hurt, and I wish I wouldn't have read it.

You know why all the PS3 hate?

Because the freakin' thing costs 400 dollars in a recession and we can't all afford one.

It's over-priced, I dont' care if it sucks your foot and fixes you a sandwich.

The reason it's overpriced, is because Sony used it as a tie in to hock its new media format, and continues forcing gamers to pay the price.

Sony deserves the hate, and imo, they deserve the poor sales as well. Start treating consumers well, and change with our needs, not your own, Sony. If you do something dumb that costs us time and money(RRoD, BR) then fix it for free. Don't just keep on pwning us with it, ffs.

The fact that this console is still 460 dollars after tax is insane, and someone deserves to pay for this horrible error.

Um ok. Considering Sony LOSES money on every console sold, and it is the same price as a blu-ray PLUS an awesome game system, how can you say it's overpriced?

It's 399 dollars. It's overpriced. No amount of features and value that Sony "adds" to the console can change that simply little general assuption. I'm a gamer, my friend. I'm not trying to combat my own cognitive dissonance, or justify my purchases. I want to buy a Playstation 3, not a Blu-Ray player. Nobody has a choice though. Sony forced you to buy a Blu-Ray player. They forced you to, my friend. You had no choice. None. It wasn't necessary. Saying it is, is ignorance.

Let me explain.

If I sell you a hamburger for 50 cents.

Then I say, "But wait! To buy this hamburger, you also have to buy this blu-ray player with it, which will cost you 199.99. It's a GREAT VALUE. You can eat the hamburger on top of it, like a plate. With a big-mac, you have to use your own plate."

Then, am I giving you a good deal? Isn't that also an excellent value? Or, instead, am I just being an asshole, and trying to market you a Blu-Ray player via the bait/and/hook method?

Yes, that is why your argument is biased. It's from the point of view of a product and its value. It doesn't factor in anything besides that, like the needless tacking on of expensive devices. It's spin. It's Sony PR. It makes no sense, and it makes me sick, sir.

Because SONY is not our friend

Most of the good HD games are available on Xbox 360. PS3 does not offer value for money. A lot of people do not like Sony as a corporation so they do not buy PS3.

A console selling at a loss does not offer value? that doesn't make any sense. What makes sense is that value is relative and some don't need/want the extras that keep it's price high.

I know you said jk after that but I've seen so many fanboys say "people don't buy it because they are too pour." That really does have the power to turn people off.

So potential ps3 buyers make their decisions based on vgc rants now? Don't make me laugh.

I agree. The PS3 and sony hate has gotten out of control. I just want a week where the PS3 smashes the 360 (and maybe even the wii)....just one...

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Blu Ray players were going for as low as $129 on black friday. So, even though I want a Blu Ray, and will eventually get one, now it's probably not going to be the PS3, which it would have been if the stand alone players still cost that much. My other potential reason for getting a PS3 was Final Fantasy. Both reasons gone.

But Blu Ray will only get cheaper. I can't imagine next black friday, $99 or less?

Eh, PS3 looks alright, it's just Xbox owners and Wii owners looking at it, judging it based on price and realizing aside from HD movie disks, there is nothing they can't already do on their systems. I'll probably get one a long time from now when it has dropped under 200, if that ever happens. If not, no biggie.

I bought a ps3 for $500 and I'm not rich by any means. What on earth could have gotten me to do something like that? PR rant? Was I forced? I don't think so.

Perhaps some really do find the package of "value" as evident in the millions of sales. Granted, these are a niche group (again relative sales are evidence enough). Thats where sony made their mistake. The people who find the extras valuable aren't enough to boost the sales of the console to the position they want
