Yes. Like saving a princess from a firebreathing turtle.

Several of the best games of all time feature this story, but is that what we really want? Games that are fun? No, the industry needs to make games like movies, they should have tons of cutscenes and long loading times so that we really have the necessary time to think about the stories.

@misterd: Some people still mentioned Zack & Wiki among third party failures on the Wii recently, i.e. this month.

Then they're idiots. Its like claiming BG&E or Psychonaut sales as proof that third party titles didn't sell on the PS2.

The title was a success, and there was talk of a sequel, even though it belonged to the least "in" genre - the point and click adventure. It also lacked the multiplayer arm flapping early Wii games were famous for. Does anyone think this would have been a smash on the 360 or PS3? Of course not.

It the game serves as a poster for anything, it is for the reluctance of gamers to embrace what is different, but also of the effect a vocal and loyal audience can do through word of mouth campaigns.

it took this game 1 year to sell 500k and you wiiboys are celabrating?

Get lost, troll.

Hahaha, that was pretty funny. Did you actually read his whole post? He wasn't trolling, he was giving an example of what trolls might still be able to say even though the game sold over 500k. Thanks for the laugh, though, hehe.

Nice. Now trolls can't complain about that not selling :P

you are underestimating  the trolls there, let me show you example below.

"it took this game 1 year to sell 500k and you wiiboys are celabrating?"

see? that was not so hard

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Love this game and while not a true point and click adventure (a genre I love) but close enough and it's something more original and become one of my newer faves.

Great game.

I suppose it's not bad considering it sold like crap when it first came out. But this really isn't a cause of celebration when according to gamerankings, metacritic and this site the wii has by far the worst library of games and yet has the highest number of software sales, with majority of 500k+ selling games for it being casual titles.

Could you speak a touch more plainly, sir?

What are you trying to say about the Wii lineup, sir?

That of all the current systems, only the Wii has the appeal needed to truly reach the masses!

And that the masses have crappy tastes. Why can't they love the non-sensical D-grade soap operas that I do?!?!

Wii games don't kiss up to what reviewers like.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

There's a Wii game wherein you may be killed by a chainsaw!
