130k first week 300k Lifetime (in Japan).

That's much better legs then previous WKC games.

Rogue Galaxy sold 230,000K first week and only managed 360,000 lifetime.

I'd say more... 200K first week, 300K lifetime.

Which means what... 120 first day?

Perhaps you're right.

I was thinking something like 135k first week, followed by 60k second week -(200k) Then another 100k with it's full lifetime on the market - Given that it's the only big JRPG available for the PS3 for the immediate future.

My opening week numbers might be a bit low and perhaps my lifetime a bit high.

But hey, it's just a prediction.

Hmm... that is a good point.  It being the only big JRPG on the PS3... and really the only RPG that wasn't on the 360 first.

250K first Week

400K+ Liftetime.

4 ≈ One

120-150k First day
200k-250k First week
330k-400k Lifetime (JP)
Lifetime, WW, 500-700k

70-90k first Day and 250k life in japan.

With the 29/40 review it will hurt sales a lot. (You can polish a turd and make it shiny, but its still a turd :P J/K) Just because they didn't say a lot of negative things in the review doesn't matter. The Japanese have a different culture and it is normal for them to do things that way. The score is what matters there.

DQVIII has been developed by Armor Project (Yuji Horii team), Level-5 just made the coding, engine. Everything what actually made the game a game - story, characters, designs, world, battle system - was made outside of Level-5 without any kind of their involvment.

So like the Anarchyz, I dont think that people in Japan really care about that.

Exactly, if the Japanese care about something in DQ is that Armor Project keeps doing it, hey, DQ7 is the best DQ seller ever in Japan and it was developed by Heartbeat, DQ8 made Level-5 quality reputation, not sales reputation... Now, if DQ8 sales brought Level-5 some sales rep then i'm cool with it...

Western gamers do that also.

200k - 250k first day and 550k - 600k for the week. couple of million+ in japan alone.

well WKC can never have the same hype as a square game, but i still think it will do well.
