I disagree with the OP, but that's what these forums are for after all! 
i've played through the game 3 times already. it easily drawfs all other games this year in replayability in its genre.
I found it fun for the first 15 hours or so then I realized the game lacked any form of challenge and it got really old fast. The level cap is set pretty low and the gun selection is rather small, so after 15 hours or so you pretty much have all the good weapons and have probably hit the level cap, leaving you with 2 basic options: you can wander around discovering new places that look the same as everywhere else you've already been a search for bobble heads that you don't really need because SPECIAL points are mostly worthless in this game and skill points are handed out in over abundance, or you can spend another 3 hours and finish the unimaginative dull mainquest, although I'll admit the first half of the last mission is hilarious.
I think advance wars and tetris are more addictive but fallout 3 is definitely one of the most addictive games I ever played
