Best Graphics -- Gears of War 2

We'll forgive you if you find it hard to notice Gears of War 2's masterful visuals much of the time -- it's very easy to miss the forest for the trees when your back's against the wall and you're trying desperately to snatch whatever inches you can from unrelenting enemies. In many sequences, though, it's impossible not to take it all in. Gears of War 2 assaults you with the massive scale of its world, built from environments that are immense, imaginative, and ever-moving. In one sequence, you're scouring a city submerged in a sinkhole, as it collapses around you. In another, you're fighting atop a rolling assault derrick as the battle swells to an unbelievable scale. Gears 2 is full of moments like this. It's gaming's answer to the summer blockbuster.

Lol, gamespy. VGA's comprised of dozens of top industry journalists all agreed that MGS4 had the best graphics of the year and thus this generation. Gamespy's little awards means nothing when two dozen industry top dogs disagree.

 Wait.............WTF!!!??!?!?!

This has to be the most stupidest thing ever since the creation of the VGA.... you are suggesting that the vga is the top dog in video game jornalism?

Trust the J man that if they were , he would never read a game review for the rest of his life.

MGS 4 looks great , but even you , a pitiful fanboy has to give credit where its due and thats gears of war 2 has the best graphics this gen (so far)

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Industry journalists aren't really that good when it comes to picking out top games of any sort.

Wait until the GDC awards if you want some awards that actually mean something.
