Pity Capcom sees the PSP as a wasted venture now. And with as poor of software sales as it has, its hard not to blame them. They already dedicated numerous titles to the handheld in the early rush only to be burned. I doubt you'll see much outside of Monster Hunter games from them.

At best you'll see a RE port to test the worth of future games on the console, but nothing new I'm afraid. Still worth a shot, good luck.

I wonder if there are any petitions to port RE5 to the Wii, lol. Doubtful it could even be done though with all the advanced AI required.

resident evil on a tiny screen with crappy sound is just pointless, it would totally lack the atmosphere thats needed in such a game. This is the whole problem with the PSP, a console game, no matter how fantastic it is does not make a fantastic handheld game.

Everytime ive played a Resident evil, theres always been a part that has absolutely scared the pants off me, making me drop the pad in some cases, not something i want with my psp ;)

You obviously never played on a PSP , the screen in your hand , up close , personal , in the dark ... now if thats not enough . Also the previews for SH : O are fantastick , so it might just work .

Well     anyways , thanks for the people who signed it , now we are close to 1.2k signatures :)

i have played a psp, ive owned one since the japanese launch. have you ever played resident evil on a 14" screen with mono sound? i havnt but im willing to bet its far more immersive and scarey on a 42" plasma with atleast stereo sound. Sound is essential in RE games, and the speakers plain suck on the psp, it would need headphones.

In a similar sense, compare burnout on the psp to the home console ones, its a good game, but the sense of speed is very lacking, even tho the gfx are very good. The dazzling crashes that made you flinch on the PS2/xbox just became a boring  annoyance for me. The psp needs handheld games, not more handheld versions of console games.

Im not knocking you for trying, im a big fan of RE games and i wish Sony would give the PSP some AAA+ games for the PSP, i just dont think RE is what it needs.

Do online petitions even ever work.

The UK government setup online petitions, and when loads of people (millions) signed a petition against the Governments proposed pay as you drive taxing scheme, the Government put it on hold, until they could think of an alternative. SO yeah, they work, but you'll need thousands of people to make it work.

I actually used to play Nemesis on the 7" add-on game for the PSone , and moste people actually use there headphones for games ... you know , thats why they include it in the package .

In the meantime I have to dissagree with you . GT4 , CoO and CC are all console-like games and they will shurely drive PSP sales ( not even talking about GTA : LCS ) . Also I actually enjoyed more the Burnout ( L&D )games on the PSP because its a great pick up & play game . So this is just all about taste . I can also assure you that more people would like to see a PSP RE than those who dont .

Bioshock collector's edition is thanks to an online petition, so that's one example of them working.

With the crap they released they deserve poor sales.  Funny how their decent games are some of the best selling ones on PSP.  With Mh sales iam soo sure they see it as a wsted venture sure buddy.  Tell me is the grass pink where you live ?

I don't know what's worse your twisted grammar or disconected progression of thought. If I honestly had any clue what you really said here I'd probably report it. Proof Read next time.

Also to whom ever brought it up, getting a collector's edition made is a far cry from having a brand new game thrown together on a handheld the developer has all but abandoned.
