I have over 80 games not included downloadable games for this system cycle.

The only difference is that last system cycle I was heavily into the PC but I could say I played well and over 200 games though... granted most of them were free. ^_^

What funny is looking at the available Wii games on a game shop...

Anyway, Sony should begin to work harder in order to improve PS3 sales, specially in the US. It'd be interesting to see what happens this year.

By the way, today I read an article in the newspaper (in Spain) where the manager of an important toys retalier said Wii sales are quite lower than last years when everybody wanted to try it.

thats great news but id take great games over knowing my consoles winning.

Well indeed that why i take great Wii games (that's the reason i've bought it) over Great HD games and over my console winning (which does not really matter to me).

I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything here, but... Has any of the winning consoles had less market share then the Wii?

 SNES vs Genesis was evenly split (60/40?), but that was a two console market then. Wii is going up against two HD consoles, and has near 50% of the entire market, the comparison for each competitor individually is already laughable in the Wii's favor. This with a year start behind the 360.

PS3 total console sales will never even come close to matching the Wii's American sales.

And the PS2 went up against 3 more powerful consoles, and one of them released had a one year headstart, and in the end it had like what 80-90% market share?

Dude, the only system to release before the PS2 was the Dreamcast. PS2 had a year jump on both the 360 AND the Cube. It had heaps of third party support because it was EXPECTED to be the marketleading console. It also had momentum coming off the PS1. Wii is in a unique position because no one thought it was going to be the smash hit it is. Third parties wrote it off and some went belly up because of it.

Also you asked a question about marketshare and I gave you one with the SNES/Genesis. Did you just ignore that just to jump at the fact PS2 destroyed the competition last gen?
