Off topic remarks aswell, such as HW sales.

Sales are based on numbers which can be considered as FACTS. Reviewers give their opinions which cannot be considered as FACTS. Nobody care about Metacritics except a bunch of nerds.

In that case you should have said something like : how Nintendo fans should react if Wii numbers were at 19M WW and PS3 numbers at 45M WW and I would start a thread like this one.

My answer : it would be correct because it would be true.

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

I would expect much more humble posts from Nintendo fans than what I saw from SONY fans in this thread. Like I said the first 2 sentances of my first post... The main problem and negativity that came from SONY fans here, I believe that was do to how the OP stated what he wanted to say. Any one could mistake that title of this thread for PS3 bashing just because of "pwn" and "!".

 SNES vs Genesis was evenly split (60/40?), but that was a two console market then. Wii is going up against two HD consoles, and has near 50% of the entire market, the comparison for each competitor individually is already laughable in the Wii's favor. This with a year start behind the 360.

 

i am not sure but it isnt fair to compare seeing how the gen is probably less than half way done. winners of generations past had to get their market share grow over the course of a few years.

Yes it is, don't forget Wifi, playing PSU from anywhere with no cords is definetly worth it.
