Wow, theres some serious anger in the OP. My own tuppence is that the sickening amount of anti sony threads in the last week have made the forums a far less happy place...not good!

It's very nice to see someone say all this. I've tried making a return to these forums during the last few weeks, but all the crap you describe is really effectively pushing me back away.

I honestly think a lot of these problems could be solved with a stricter ban policy. Some of the worst trouble makers have been banned over half a dozen times, but they always come back. At a certain point mods should ask themselves if they really, really want a certain member to be back after a week. It's nice to have more member and all, but after a certain point it's no longer a 100% undeniably good thing.

I've got to agree, at least in part with the opening post. I'm all for reasonable moderation but with some posters suggesting censorship we have reached outright lunacy.
