Well, that's not an argument actually. Nobody in this world 'needs' to speak a foreign language in order to understand and be understood totally correctly in his environment.

If you learn Spanish, then Italian should be very easy to learn later.

Five: Spanish and English perfectly, French pretty well, German used to speak well, but I've forgotten a lot, and now I'm learning Japanese, and I could manage myself in Japan, but still need to learn a lot more

I also know Latin, and can read perfectly both Portuguese and Italian 'cause they are very similar to Spanish
