would say that PS3 WW sales are now lower then the WII US (and that is due to a drop in sales of the PS#))

I was going to mention that...  of course within a day or so when Japanese sales will be added, which will grow the difference...  with this neck-n-neck and not all regions being updated at the same time does give america numbers a slight advantage.

Ps3 wnt outsell wii at $400, because $200 IS THE TRUE SWEET SPOT FOR CONSOLES.

Gosh look at the 360, it's already saturated the $400 market, there's no room for the PS3 there, when the PS3 is under $300 things will change, but that's ages yet and by that time the Wii will be at least $150 and the 360 will be at least $200 and both would be ahead of the PS3.

There are still ways the PS3 can "win" the console war.

Most likely

1) PS3's eventually drop lower then the cost of Blu-Ray players around the time the next generation starts up. Hi Def Tvs are standard and they stop selling DVDs. That might boost up some sales.

2) Enough people who don't care about video games arn't bothered by the stigma of having a video game system as their Blu-ray player and it's cheaper then the cheapest Blu-ray player + Hi def TV sales skyrocket.

3) Wii sales bottom out really hard.

4) PS3 cures cancer, spurs people to buy it to help cure other diseases

5) Nintedo headquarters is destroyed by some means or another like a Tsunami or Earthquake.

6) Gas prices rise and software update allows the PS3 to not only access a 4th dimension but a 5th dimension acting as a teleporter.

Once the PS3 starts getting games it will start boosting sales past 50k a week. A console that is marked at 499 and 599 and selling over 20k a week without new good games is shocking. I figure Aug. 28th will be the start of the PS3's true sales. Warhawk is an awesome game that gives the world reason to buy the PS3 as its better then 95% of all PC shooters.

As for the Wii, the Wii will probably end up #1 till the end of 2008 at least because every grandma who can walk straight will buy one. Sadly the sell back rate for the Wii will probably increase a ton too. I wonder how many used Wiis EB Games will have by then. I dont see gamers who want a bigger experience then looking like your whacking off in No More Heroes (thats the one with the light saber right?) sticking with it for that long.

 Another thing that will boost PS3 sales is when Blu-ray wins.

Theoretically, the problem is... very few people buy all 3 systems.  Heck probably less then half of the consumers will buy 2 systems.

So plenty of people that would buy a PS3 now for 399.99 might not when it is 399.99 because they'll have an X-box or Wii or both.  That's why it's so important to take an early lead and why it's been hard for the more expensive graphically impressive numbers to catch up historically.

 The wii may change matters based on how cheap it's started out, however if anything that would be of more benfit to the wii staying ahead since it would almost defenitly be one of the two systems that the usual one system person would pick up.

Hmmm. A Sony fan today saying the PS3 will win is as delusional as a Nintendo fan saying the N64 will win in 1997. The changing of the guard is EXACTLY the same as it was 10 years ago when Sony became the victor and interestingly its been caused by exactly the same reasons, only difference is the winner and loser have swapped places.

All of people's scenario's that involve the PS3 winning require that people wake up one morning and decide randomly that they hate the wii for some nonsensical reason, and sell it to buy a PS3. Strictly by the numbers the PS3 in the best case scenario won't catch up for years, let alone surpass. If wii's stopped selling altogether, and PS3 sold half a million a month it wouldn't catch up for a year. Realistically, even in best case scenario's it wouldn't catch surpass the wii for two or more years.

People just expect Jesus to come down from heaven and declare the PS3 the winner.

IMO there is no such thing as a console shooter that is better than PC shooters.  I love your predictions though.  Unbelievably ignorant and biased, but fun lol.
