Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Any 360 owners NOT buying Halo 3?

I was talking to some of my friends the other day and eventually we started to talk about video games. One of my friends asked me if I was going to buy Halo3 when it comes out. I said no and explained that I wasn't much of a Halo fan. He seemed shocked and said that I had to buy it because I owned a 360. Then a bunch of friends that owned 360s joined in and they kept asking why I wouldn't get it. Eventually the topic changed but my question is: Are there any 360 owners that aren't going to buy Halo?

Me, I can't stand FPS on consoles.

Ok, I know this isn't aimed at me because I don't own a 360. But I do own an xbox with Halo 2. I'd also like to get me a 360 some day, ad Bioshock, Mass effect and a bunch of other games have got my attention. But if/when I get a 360, I wouldn't get Halo3 unless it was in the bargain bin (which it eventually will be with some million seller reissue).

I'm sure it'll be a huge game, but it's just not at the top of my list.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I'm with you.  I don't have one yet (working on it, but won't have the cash till november or december), but there are too many other amazing 360 games that I want first.  Yeah, it's something I'd probably pick up eventually, but Bioshock, Mass Effect, and another 10 or so games that I missed (like viva pinata and dead rising) would be my first choices.  The 360 is not just a Halo machine after all, there are a lot of other great games for it this gen.

I'm a PC gamer as well and I prefer mouse/keyboard controls over gamepads for FPSs any day, so I have little interest in Halo.

When I got my Xbox (not the 360) I skipped Halo. I played it in the office once and while it was fun it wasn't all that and a bag of chips.

When I buy a 360 I still wouldn't get Halo 3. I'll just play whatever is the hot FPS of the day for the PC and use the 360 for other games that I cannot play on the PC.

I am sure there are many people that are like me in this regard.

Nope. Roommate probably will, so will probably play that way. Never been too much of a fan of dual analog shooters.

This is Blasphemy! This is madness!

You guys are crazy, halo 2 was the most balanced and creative multiplayer FPS experience on any console, I MIGHT be able to understand PC owners feelings, but i love Halo on the PC.

People who normally bash Halo do it without stating the appropriate facts about the game. It wouldnt be huge if it wasnt great. Now Halo 3 hasn't been released yet, so the jury is still out. But the previous installments have been amazing and THE best shooters ever made. UT comes extrodinarily close, but it isnt Halo.

Nah, I'm not crazy - I've just been spoiled by the plethora of FPS games for the PC.

Halo doesn't bring anything remarkable to the PC gaming front. For consoles, perhaps, but not the PC as far as I'm concerned.

Hey Dolla , what is your avatar?

On-topic: When I get my 360, I won't pick Halo. 360 will be for RPGs, PC for FPS... and no, I won't pick Halo 3 on PC when it comes out, either.
