Forums - Gaming Discussion - Dragon Quest X officially announced for Wii

Wrong! Enix has never created Dragon Quest only published it. Chunsoft, Heart Beat are mostly the 2 main devs who worked at the DQ series until DQVIII. Square Enix now only takes care of the spin off games like Dragon Quest Monsters, Dragon Quest Swords, Dragon Quest Heroes, main game have always been developed by others.

I'm concerned as it wouldn't turn out to be as disappointing as DQS, with Level 5 you can be nearly rest assured that it will turn out just well.

Armor Project ( Horii Studio ) design Dragon Quest games, the other ( Chunsoft, Heartbeat, Level5 ) are code-monkeys.

Tres-Pwned!

Yup! about time!

SE makes a logical choice! run for your lives! hopefully they make more of those and put their 360 JRPG's on the PS3!

Congratulations to the Wii - soon to be the definetive JRPG platform of the 7th gen.

It's also one of the more correct picks... DQ doesn't need HD.

DQ8 was a PS2 pusher, it's one of the best looking games on the platform... and it will push the Wii too.

Rather talented codemonkeys I might add. Whoever is making DQX, it will be a very good dev. It's one of two key SE franchises, they won't give it anyone.

It'll be L-5.

I'll hope SE will start developing more for the Wii, they have been ignoring that platform for too long.

I´m very surprised with this news, because I thought all the main DQ games would go to the DS till the next generation.

I guess Tgs 09 we should expect Kh3 for Wii.

I hate to say it, but its looking like a 3 way in my personal opinion for KH3 now.

In my book the scary part is every one of the 3 companys has a solid shot for it to be exclusive now.

If we're talking exclusivity, Wii definitely has the biggest shot at taking it (by far IMO). HD vs Wii is a bit different, though - I could see it going 360/PS3. KH's biggest region is America, a PS3 exclusive would kill its sales - same for the 360 in Japan.

Anyway, I hope we get more from SE on the Wii (some news about FFCC, for one). Too bad they're split developing on all platforms (including handhelds).

I don't think it would be fair it it was 360 exclusive, since they got FFXIII. If the 360 does get KH3, then the PS3 should get it aswell. I do hope it's a Wii exclusive, though.

Wow that"s early. It's been a long time since we got more than 1 main DQ in one generation!

BTW, who's developing it? I don't think Level 5 is, they're still busy with WKC and DQ IX.

What are you looking at, nerd?
