If there is one or two 3rd party publishers Sony could secure exclusive deals with - which one should it be?

Sony can save the PS3, obviously.
Edit: It was pretty funny I had to click past an Xbox 360 advertisement for Gears 2 to reach the page!
Tease.
Capcom would be a great buy. Make Resident Evil and DMC exclusive.

Nintendo :p
This is a silly article.
Exclusives can further the Wii's position, but I don't think that either HD console can push the other out via exclusives alone. They have to simply compete, and by that I mean with perceived value. If Sony chops the price of the PS3 early next year, the ball will be back in MS's court (in a big way if the PS3 drops to $299.99). The exclusives each console gets always seem like a "tie", or close enough so that its not a big deal. Of course, failing to get exclusives would be a major downfall, but both companies seem to be doing fine in that dept.

Certainly not. It is positively prone to take that second place position by 2011.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
