Do you actually play these things?

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

wow nice collection there...

just think of how many other ways you could of spent your money...

Combined, it would have only taken me about one month of working or so to be able to afford all of those consoles, and I only make $15 an hour. I started collecting a long time ago, back in 1991, when the Super Nintendo came out. I was only three years old at the time. I picked up most of the consoles at the Flea Market, and eBay, for really cheap. Even the Playstation 2, Xbox, and Gamecube, combined, only cost me around $200. I don't need to spend money on any thing else, at the moment, until I start paying for a mortgage, which will be some time in the future. And besides, most things money is spent on are perishable, or intangible. I have pretty much stopped my collection, so now I will start saving for the more important things.

That is an incorrect assumption.

I collect them more than anything else. Of course I've played all of them, a little bit, just to see how they are. I should at least build up a small game collection for all of them, to give more reason to own them. Anyways, I have nothing compared to other collectors, who own every single NES, SNES, GEN, games, and more. I play the Nintendo consoles the most.

I don't have time to play video games as much as before, since I work full time at this roofing company. I was thinking of switching to plumbing, but that is unconfirmed. No, not because my avatar is of Mario, but it is better than roofing in the long run. Anyways, I used to play my SNES, N64, and PS1 a lot, back in the days.

The only difference with me, than others, is that I don't sell off my consoles. On average, I purchased about one, or two, consoles every year, from 1991, until now. With a period that long, it's really not that hard to have a collection that big. To try to finish off my collection, I have been buying more consoles, recently, faster than before, and there are still some consoles I don't have. But, like I said, combine the cost of the collection, and it only amounts to about one more, or more, of working, for me, and I don't make that much money.

I cannot take a photo of my owned game machines because most aren't with me anymore. But here is a list of my gaming history, I include computers here because I did most of my gaming on them.

Atari VCS
Atari 400
Atari 800
Amiga 500
Commodore 64 (bargin basement price)
Amiga 2000
Power PC Mac (yes I played games on a Mac)
Pentium PC
G4 Mac
Another Pentium PC
Wii

I gave up buying games in PC format coz I got annoyed at having to upgrade the chips/graphics cards all the time to play the latest game. At least on a console I know all game will work out of the box.

I would hate to think how much I have spent over the years on gaming.

JRI.

Funny seeing a Wii, stuck in such an ancient game collection.

Parokki why do you have KOTOR1 on PC and Xbox?

Because my laptop has some palaeolithic screen-3d-driving-boosting-banana-thingamajig that the game didn't entirely agree with. All the option screens were distorted beyond use, and the game would finally hit a fatal crash when I got to the raggedy-ass ragtag town near the sewers. Luckily I got both copies for under 15€. =P

Ben: I also have Wing Commander 2 and 3. Never got the second to run (I already had a too new computer 8 years ago lol), but number 3 was one of my childhood favorites. 4 CDs full of FMV used to be really cool...
