Yes.. a GTA IV with the same engine of GTA III/VC/SA.
I think GTA IV would be more succesful if it was released on PS2 too. The installbase is still huge and I have a lot of friends here in the Netherlands who doesnt have a 360 or PS3 and don't like PC gaming and really would like to see a GTA IV on PS2. Maybe they have a point. The graphics and the physics engines of GTA IV was really a dissapointment.
The controls were okay but the camera when driving was a pain in the ass. The characters looked very plastic-ish, it has a blur effect what I don't like. It was like you are in a dream when playing.
The graphics of the previous GTA's may not be amazing but it had clear graphics. No blur effect, well GTA III and VC had but you could switch it off.
I beat the game and I have to say I had much much much more fun with San Andreas than GTA IV.
Sorry to those who love GTA IV but I think its the worst GTA. If you finish the storyline, then there are not much things left to do. It has bad music too.
So if Rockstar made a remake on PS2 with the same graphics engine as GTA SA and with improvements for music and missions and adding airplanes and jetpacks. Perhaps than.. things would be different. GTA SA is still selling like hot cakes. Don't think it is stupid to make a remake for PS2. Here in Europe, at least in the Netherlands, is the Ps2 community still alive. Look at those people who are buying Pro evolution Soccer 2009 PS2. The sells are incredible.
I beat the game on PS3 but for me it would have more value if it was on PS2.
Could you image a GTA IV for PS2? What do you think?
GTA IV with PS2 graphics... it would look like this.
