The touchpad thing looks interesting but I can't get over the shitty placement above the controller.

-edit-

And I get what they're saying how you'll never have to use it in game so it's not a huge deal that you have to move your hands up, but it still just doesn't look comfortable to use.  The fact they even say not made for human hands just reinforces that.

You gonna post anything pro-PS3...Ever?

it is its own bluetooth device...so i dont have to snap it on the controller? if so then thats awesome to just have it sitting next to me and use it when i need to. anyone confirm this?

the keypad is its own device, so yes.

 woot...that is all

I got my hands on trying this thing out when I took a drive to Miami and I would like to point some minor pet peeves I had with it,

The size being small was not good from my perspective, I have big hands, and i felt like I was typing on my cell keypad hitting 2-3 buttons at once.

The way it's connected at times when typing made it feel like I might damage my USB connection on the PS3 controller, it just didn't have a snug feel, and when attaching it, it felt like I might scratch up the controller, but it didn't.

The keypad being (On Top) felt awkward, just from trying it out for just 20 minutes or so.

These are just my pet peeves on this product, an opinion if you will...

Update: Just took a better look at the pic, and saw the 3 buttons under the SONY wording..

The chatpad i tried did not have those 3 bottons that I remember.. so maybe the one I tried was a fake.. The place I was at was one of those "fell off the back of a truck" type places.. soo...

lol. dude that sucks...

OT: I thought about picking one of these up, but I hardly spend any time playing my PS3, let alone texting people on it, so at this point it's definitely not on my 'must have' list. It does seem a bit odd to have it on top of the controller though...

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

Right, you've been here less than a month and you pretend to see everything I've ever posted?

I'm pretty sure you can find a USB keyboard for less than 15 bux and just use it on your PS3 if typing is a must.
