Forums - Gaming Discussion - A pet hate of mine for gaming...

I'm a dab-hand with a chainsaw... gets it all off pretty quickly.

And yes I hate stickers that come apart like that, on CDs and DVDs too, if the glue technology exists so that they can stick it well, but not permanently to plastic, why don't stores use it?.... is it just cheaper to buy standard stickers in bulk?

Try some hot water and cloth.

That is very annoying.

Yes I hate that too but I'm surprised your having that problem with a new game. Why does it not have a protective wrapper on it?? Used game sure.

Annoying - I just picked up MLB 2k8 for Wii for a measly $10 at Blockbuster but it's in a black case (original wrapper though) and it looks so wrong when placed with all my other white boxed Wii games.

Grainger Games don't really have the games wrap-sealed, don't think they ever have done. The new games always go in the same cases that are on display. Same thing with Rock Band 2 which I bought from there.

Oh yes, I hate that too. I only have one game whose case is messed up because of it:Paradise City but that's because I bought it used.

That will take off even the most annoying sticker residue and won't mess up the plastic. I would take out the paper sleeve first just so you don't get it wet.

The gamestop I go to actually leaves the stickers on the paper and then inserts them behind the plastic on the spine. It's a little more annoying sorting through games since they are stacked sideways but no annoying stickers :)
