what are you talking about? there are great games on the PS3 but they dont have that"mass-appeal" games like MS games has. Imo MS are really great in marketing games like gears, mass effect, even lost odyssey(mind you sold really great in the west and now part of the platinum collection now), imo sony needs a killer app like halo to position themselves against ms.and no im not talking about MGS4, they need a gaem like killzone2 .

 

 

 Should I bother responding to someone who insists Killzone 2 is something to be excited about? I don't see anything fruitful coming from our discussion. That's like a Wii Owner being excited about Geist 2.

Sonys lost? you really should put down in your opinion in that post. cause you come off as a know it all that knows nothing.

PS3 is doing great and is great, so is the 360 but like flame said they really know how to market games unlike sony thats a big win.

So nobody ever does bad in the video game industry, they just achieve varying degrees "great" and "less great"?

Why do you always criticize games you haven't played?

Also, sony is going to be more successful than any other 3rd place console, and it could still end up 2nd.

lol, how come when I gave my brother my PS3...or when I traded my Wii for a 360...nobody cared, but when Sony fans lose the colonel, it's the end of the world, and he made a bad decision?

Man, there is no way in hell I'd buy a PS3 right now if I didn't have a 360, lol. Look, it's half price, and it's basically got the same games. Get a 360 now, and get a PS3 in a year when the price is down, and you've played your 360 to death.

Buying a PS3 atm would still feel like early adoption to me. I say hold off on those suckers, and buy them when Sony gets those prices down.

It's a great console, but with what the other consoles cost, is it really worth all that extra money? 399....It's like, almost 2 weeks of work for a tax paying young man or woman, if you work at McDonalds or something, it might be 4 or more weeks of work for that console.

I think that a lot of people who might have gotten their PS3s as gifts don't understand the value of that money quite yet, lol. 400 dollars is a lot....when there is little or no increase in quality over the same thing you can get for 199....I mean run a hardwire if you have a wireless router. Save all that extra money. Next year, when people are getting PS3 bundles for 249, and such, you'll have made a very wise decision, because then you'll be able to buy a PS3 and a 360 for what a PS3 costs you right now.

Here is a list of crap I want to buy with the money I would save buying a 360 instead of a PS3:

iPhone touch 2g
Blackberry edge
Laptop
Sandman series graphic novels
Peyton Manning Fathead
Desktop Gaming PC upgrades
Games for PC, 360, PS2, Wii
Justin's(my brother) Wii
Surround Sound 7.1 system for my TV
wireless headphones, expensive ones
new Xbox 360 for backup
digital camera
Bull-pup ak47 type(gun)
lifetime supply of irish car bombs
whiskey glasses(with some weight, nice ones)
Air Rifles
.357 Colt Python
Portable GPS
Battery backups for my desktop(lights blink a lot)
sex equipment
new sunglasses
mini-fridge
Ninja/and,or/Highlander swords for my wall and for killing

Extra money is epic win.

I'm not sure you'll see this in all of the anti-PS3 trolling going on, but good for you.

You should be very happy with your purchase, 360 has tons of games to play.
