I got to defend ssj12 here, he's talking about his store, not the whole country. So what if they wiis in stock, why are some of you offended by that.


As far as I am concern, The wii will sellout, the 360 will have their best week to date and as for the ps3, 2009 couldn't come fast enough. If i didnt like my 60 gig so much, i would get a 360 too.

 Is suposd to be a hard core machine but a casual machine too, do blue ray and media center cpabilities and a few casual games, can not attract casual gamer and people tht like to play video games but not know shit about good games only buy games because of box art or maybe because like the movie the show or the sport, of course a hard core fan will not buy a paint ball game or a need for speed knowing that are more better games like Mignight Club for example.

 

not true, I never bought a paintball game but there is a killer paintball game available for free for PC that is fun as heck. They can be amusing if done correctly. Like an FPS without blood.

You hit the mark my friend GOOD and FREE, umm those points are sweet and fun for everyone.

As much as you want sony to cut the price, even if the ps3 sells 100k this NPD, its not going to matter, they CANNOT cut the price at the moment, if they do they will lose another billion, and that isnt going to help the playstation brand at all.

 

Actually Leo-J, it would help the brand a lot. It's the company and their profit margin that would take a hit.

And that MS's 199 price point for the Arcade was truly the sweet spot for sales. That sold out everywere as far as I remember. I was in Best Buy for a bit, and the Arcades were gone, Pros and Elites were in abundant stock, Wii's were gone, and the PS3 display looks like it barely moved since I saw it put up. But I did see a few LBP sales, and a Few 80 GB + R +C + Casino Royale sales, but nowhere in the league of White (Wii) and Green (360) boxes.

It's going to be an UGLY NPD for PS3.

And I can't wait.

Will force them to price drop this overpriced mother-fucker. I hope the PS3 gets truly annihilated in NPD. They'll price cut the minute after that happens.

 

This mirrors a lot of the reports I've been seeing via google news. It seems like Wii Fit is the hot ticket this year and pretty much sold out everywhere.

Blu-ray appears to be doing better than expected.  most shelves in my area don't have many of the sale br movies left.

like I was saying, and not doupting the Sales info he is giving, it could be a local trend. What I am calling him out on is the 199.99 thing and now he is saying his store is a freaking small.... again does not compute... so u had like over 80 wiis, 450 ds? 70 360s, and whatnot, again does not compute.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
