I knew it but apparently not everybody. Gamed is one of them, a Dutch game site, who says only Media Create is to be trusted *blurgh*.

Good job ,this is the proof I was asking for .It seems some webpages presented the information with a bad translation and that mislead many people (including me ,that although didnt believe the numbers thought Sony was effectively speaking about sales to customers ) .I think the PS3 sales are the most adjusted of the sets you have ,you have done a great job and investigated and changed the numbers when neccesary to fit reality the best possible .

and to people complaining about number revisions;
ioi does not adjust numbers to coincide with financial reports, for one thing sony has no official numbers for what has still not sold in shops [the 600k was sonys estimate].
the numbers only change weekly within the first few days of posting, no doubt from late sources.
and occasionally, if NPD numbers are significantly different to vgc monthly, then the us numbers are changed [for that month], so the numbers are extremely close to say since before june 30, the only numbers that may have changed on vgc are American, which will not have been by much

i did notice a total revision of all the 'other' numbers [back to jan if not further] about mid june though, but thats before all this.
