square-enix is completely a third party company. so they aren't bound to sony. plus they'll make more money by going multiplatform.

Even know they are bringing me Final Fantasy XIII and versus..
I have lost, all respect possible for Square-Enix, unless they announce KH3 ps3 exclusive, Ever since that E3 announcement, Square Enix wen't on alot of people's hate list.

The reason Square Enix put FFXIII on the 360 is because they want to increase penetration into the western markets. They said it was their strategy a long time ago. They didn't just do it to make money off their hard work from making hte game, though the increased sales are a plus. They did it because the 360 has such a large userbase in America and the UK and they want to increase their presence there to increase long term sales and profits.

See what they did to Nintendo in the PS1 generation.

SE is agressivly seeking to expand their US base... that's been their entire plan from the start of the generation... and they've said it many times.

Since the 360 is so big in the US... they would rather the 360 make up userbase in Japan, then PS3 make up userbase in the US... because there is less to make up.

Makes sense to me anyway.

i think that what make some ps3 owners mad is the way they announced ffXIII on 360. in all the trailers they shown it was ps3 exclusive and in all interviews they said that it was ps3 exclusive they never gave any sign that it might come to the 360 and suddenly they went to ms conference and announed it to 360 thats like a stab in the back if you ask me and the other thing is that they are not going to release the ps3 version until the 360 version is finish, why they didnt do the same thing with THE LAST REMNANT ?. wait until the ps3 version is done and release it, and they are saying now that multi is the way to go, why dont they release star ocean 4 on ps3?.

Everything is fine, except Final Fantasy is not "one" of the Playstation's best exclusives. It is THE best exclusive game the Playstation had. MGS could have an argument, but MGS2 was pretty bad, and that ruined the "perfectionist" legacy games like Zelda and Final Fantasy posess.

Well, bear in mind that the last time Nintendo was in a position of total dominance akin to their situation today (circa NES era), they started treating third parties faaairly poorly. Square included. I imagine they're very wary of helping Nintendo cement their position at the top for this very reason.
