Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will Killzone 2 be a system seller?

Decent boost in "OTHERS"
Minor boost in US
Don't know if the game is going to JPN, if so am not expecting anything too amazing.

I think the game will show some great legs though. May have great sales in the beginning if SONY does some awesome marketting.

This will be one of the most frontloaded games ever. It has to do , at the very least, Gears1 numbers in its first NPD month (more than 1 million) because it will drop off like a rock in the coming months after its first NPD month.

This is the final test for sony's ps3 games , this must do true blockbuster numbers. No imaginary sales' numbers with "legs" or any other crap that we've been reading for every commersial bomb sony has released. No excuses here, this has to rival the biggest games MS has released for the xbox360.

It wont be a system seller, if the sales increase at the time it will be due to a possible price cut. If Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet proved not be a system sellers (during a holiday period) they i dont see how Killzone 2 ( a sequel to very average shooter) can be seen as a game that will move many PS3's.

The game itself will sell well without a doubt, but wont have significant impact on hardware.

I think it maybe can move 50k worldwide more ps3s not more.

I think the first Killzone destroyed its credibility somewhat. People hate it, and refuse to believe it can IMPROVE. I'm not making this up by the way.
